Outdoor living and landscape trades in Nashville Home Pros

Thirteen directory headings, from Decks & Patios to Tree Service — the biggest group in the magazine, and the one most built on projects a homeowner decides to want.

Outdoor living is the largest group in the Home Services Directory: 13 headings in the October 2026 issue. The South / West cover went to a landscaping company, LawnValue, which is also listed under Lawn Care and Lawn Fertilization, the North / East cover to Happy Backyards’ swing sets and trampolines, and four more outdoor companies bought ads outside the directory, from Keystone Outdoor Living’s composite decks to Designs of Nature’s waterfalls.

These are, for the most part, projects nobody has to do. A pergola, a patio cover, a motorized screen, a sunroom, a lit water feature — each one starts when a homeowner sees it done well somewhere else. That is exactly what a magazine page does and a search ad can’t, which is the argument of our feature on demand.

Some of the group is steadier work. Lawn care, fertilization, irrigation and tree service are recurring, and the company a household already knows tends to keep them. For those trades the magazine is an awareness play, ten issues a year in the same homes — see brand awareness.

Several companies hold more than one heading. Music City Deck & Fence and Safeguard Fence & Deck appear under both Decks & Patios and Fencing; Mr. Enclosure under Motorized Screens, Patio Covers and Sunrooms / Enclosures; Mr. Handyman of Nashville under Pressure Washing as well as Handyman. Each heading still allows two companies per zone.

Q & A

Outdoor living trades: questions

Is magazine advertising good for landscaping companies?

It suits them, because most outdoor projects start with a picture. A finished patio or a lit pergola on the page gives the homeowner the idea, and your name is beside it. The October 2026 cover of Nashville Home Pros went to LawnValue, a landscaping company.

Can one company be listed under more than one heading?

Yes. In the October 2026 directory LawnValue appeared under Lawn Care and Lawn Fertilization, and Mr. Enclosure under Motorized Screens, Patio Covers and Sunrooms / Enclosures. Each heading is its own category with its own two spots per zone.

Which outdoor trades are in the Nashville Home Pros directory?

Thirteen: Decks & Patios, Fencing, Hardscaping, Irrigation, Landscaping, Lawn Care, Lawn Fertilization, Motorized Screens, Patio Covers, Pergolas, Pressure Washing, Sunrooms / Enclosures and Tree Service. Water features, land clearing, holiday lighting and backyard play sets advertised outside the directory.

Do pergola and sunroom companies advertise in print?

In this magazine they do: Nashville Pergola, Zinga’s Power Pergola of Nashville, Music City Sunrooms and Mr. Enclosure all held headings in October 2026, and Mr. Enclosure took two full pages besides. A photograph is usually where a sunroom starts.
